Fifty years ago Pattaya was a sleepy little fishing village, with lots of activities both on land and sea, Pattaya is ideal for both single visitors and couples

Pattaya offers visitors its big, wide beaches, water sports, sightseeing, modern shopping malls, a wide variety of hotels and resorts and international dining experiences It’s gets more quiet as you head towards North Pattaya, and very quiet if you stay between the beach and Naklua-Pattaya Rd. in North Pattaya and Naklua. Central to South Pattaya is where most of the action is and North Pattaya is a little more quiet and I think is the best area to stay.

Pattaya is the ideal family holiday destination, where all people can enjoy a variety of activities at reasonable cost. Want to try something new? Pattaya is a great place for the adventurous traveler to explore. Get close to nature with an elephant ride at the elephant village, or spend time at the Noong Nooch Tropical Garden. And after dark, Pattaya offers all the allure and magic of a truly vibrant nightlife with a spectacular variety of restaurants, night clubs, bars, discotheques, cocktail lounges and cabarets. Pattaya can be brash, bold, beautiful and bucolic, and offers everything and authentic international beach resort can.

Tourist information is freely available in Pattaya, and can be obtained from one of the several Tourist Information Centres scattered about the central area or, for a much greater variety, from any of the myriad of travel agents, tour operators or from your hotel foyer. For sure it’s a party city more than a quiet coastal destination, with plenty of activities both night and day. However you can escape to idyllic offshore islands, alternatively take the family to one of the amusement or themed parks, get in a round of golf, have fun with watersports, go shopping, do the spa ‘thing’, or enjoy the fun and slightly naughty night scene. We’ve got it all covered here.
